A multi-round competition starting with the F=ma exam each February advancing top scorers to the USAPhO exam in April and the US Physics Team Training Camp at the University of Maryland. Five team members are selected to represent the US at the International Physics Olympiad.

A free one-week engineering institute at NASA Glenn Research Center for rising 11th and 12th graders with a 3.2+ GPA. Only 60 students selected per year work on acoustic damping solar power management and lunar wheel design alongside NASA engineers in July. NASA provides all materials; students cover personal travel and lodging.

The MIT Mathematics Department participates in RSI a six-week fully funded summer program at MIT for approximately 100 top rising high school seniors selected globally. Math-track students work one-on-one with MIT faculty on original unsolved research problems; fully funded covering tuition housing and meals.
